Anti Wrinkle Skin Care Techniques You Should Know About
Why do we get them?
Skin wrinkles are simply folds and lines on the skin that are a natural sign of aging most of the time and there is little we can do about that. Age makes skin cells become thinner and the elasticity reduces because collagen production in the body has diminished. The cells divide more slowly so the replacement of dead cells is not usually as fast as it should be. The fat cells under the skin also get smaller and are therefore not able to fill up those gaps created by the damage so the skin simply gives way and sags.
The other reason id damage of your skin through exposure to the sun, too much time spent on the sun without protection exposes the skin to dangerous UV rays that are known to be harmful. The outer layer of the skin becomes thinner, and this encourages the over production of melanin, which can eventually lead to skin cancer. The other effect of too much sun is the breaking down of collagen becoming too rapid and this can cause premature aging. With no collagen on the skin then wrinkling becomes almost automatic.
Then there is the development of free radicals and their effect on the health of your skin. These unstable oxygen molecules in the body that lack an electron contribute to the speedy breakdown of collagen as well. They are developed by continuous exposure to the sun as well as air pollution and cigarette smoking.
Ways to diminish them
Protecting your skin from wrinkles need not be such a difficult job if you wanted to be safe. Begin with protecting your exposed skin parts with a sunscreen anytime you are outside in the sun, even on those days that appear to be cloudy. Then take care of the issue of hydration of your skin by taking enough fluids especially drinking water, as you avoid caffeinated drinks and alcohol. The next obvious step is proper nutrition. Let your meals be balanced and take in plenty of fruits, vegetables and fish that are rich in vitamins and minerals that will fight the attacks of free radicals.
After a hard days work you need to have a good rest and if possible sleep for up to eight hours every day. When you have enough rest you help your body keep off unnecessary stress which is known to speed up the aging process and thus aggravate the problem skin sagging and the attendant wrinkles that come with it. Finally you may have to surrender smoking as it is known to be harmful to the good health of your skin as well.
