Best Skin Care Products

June 27th, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

All of us are looking for the best skin care product available. However, it is important to remember that the ideal beauty supply product for one person is quite different than the ideal for another. There are plenty of things to consider before making a purchase. Following are some guidelines to help you determine the best skin care product for your specific needs.

The first thing that comes to mind when we think about beauty supplies is age. A teenager will definitely have different needs than a woman entering menopause. We all go through different phases in life and the best skin care product one year will not be the best the next year. Consider your current needs first.

Next, you need to determine your specific skin type. The best skin care product for a person with very dry skin may be the same brand that suits a person with an oily complexion. The great thing is that one brand will offer a different product for specific skin types.

Don’t forget your lifestyle. A person who spends a lot of time indoors will find that the best skin care product will be different from the best skin care product for a person who spends a lot of time outdoors. There are other factors to consider as well when it comes to lifestyle.

The outdoorsy type who spends many hours on the beach will have different needs than a person who spends many hours on the ski slope. The only thing that we all have in common is the need to protect ourselves from the sun’s rays. The best skin care product on the market for anyone who spends a lot of time outside is sun block.

Lifestyle also involves our habits. Even the best skin care product can’t beat a good night’s sleep and plenty of water and vitamins. You should feed your complexion from the inside out. Your eating, drinking and general lifestyle will show up in your skin no matter what topical solutions you use.

Your diet and exercise routine will also have a profound effect on your complexion. Take care of yourself and you will find that the best skin care product is a cinch to find. It takes very little to address the needs of skin that is healthy from the inside out.

No matter how well we take care of ourselves, we do age. Moisturizer is without a doubt the best skin care product on the market. Daily use will take years off of your complexion.

All Natural Skin Care

June 26th, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

About 3 years ago, I started a company specializing in all natural skin care products. I came at it from a rather novel approach. I was a specialist in herbal treatments for many different diseases. I have had formal studies as an herbalists for several years, as well as an apprenticeship in traditional Chinese medicine. Although very few of the things that we herbalists make are useful for all natural skin care, I thought that I could use my knowledge of herbs and extracts to help make better products.

A lot of my friends were pretty skeptical when I first came up with the idea. You see, I come up with a lot of projects, but I have never been all that good at following through on them. They had expected my all natural skin care business to be the same. When I came out with my first skin anti aging cream, they figured that I would be out of business in three or four months at most. When I came out with a new line of all natural skin care products meant for dry, chapped skin, they figured it would flop within the first year. Now, 3 years down the line, my all natural skin care business is still doing very well. They can not figure out how I do it.

When my friends ask about how to make money in the all natural skin care industry, the answer is easy. I tell them that the secret is finding a niche market. You see, all natural skin care is not that new, and it is not that specialized. People from all over the world buy skin care all natural beauty products to heal and rejuvenate their bodies. What I do that the other companies don’t, however, is to cash in on a local clientele. Not only do I sell all natural skin care products, but I sell them made from locally grown, indigenous plant oils. Rather than being imported from all around the world, they are all made right here in Oregon.

A lot of people are willing to pay quite a bit of money for all natural skin care that they can trust. If they know that it is locally grown and manufactured, they can feel good about what they are buying. And feeling good about their purchases is what keeps the customers coming back over and over again.

Best Way to Get Clear Skin – Top 5 Ways to Get Clear Skin

June 4th, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, facial skin disorder, melanoma skin cancer, pictures of skin cancer, psoriasis treatment, skin cancer, skin care product, skin care treatment, skin disease Comments Off

Getting clear skin and keeping it has been a growing and reoccurring challenge. Some struggle trying to get clear skin while others tremble at the fact that clear skin is too difficult to maintain. Our skin is sort of like our cars, in order for our skin to be in good health we have to nourish it every day. Here you will learn the top 5 ways to get clear skin.

1. Always wash your face at least once per day

This is absolutely a must-do, when you know you are going to be at a rush in the morning, make it so you wake up extra early to wash your face thoroughly before heading out. It’s key to do this every morning even if you are in a hurry. Make time to do things that are important, that way you don’t put off other important things.

2. Apply an oil-free moisturizer with SPF 15

Did you know that when your face is dry, you force your body to make more oil? In fact, a dry face is just as bad for acne because it may lead to more breakouts. The best way to combat this is to use a special moisturizer that doesn’t clog pores and that hydrates your face.

3. Routinely use a facial mask

These are great and revitalize your skin deep under the pores for an invigorating refreshment. There are good brands out there that sell facial masks. Look for some that contain sulfur as this is a key ingredient to not only clean away dirt and bacteria on your skin but also prevents new acne from forming.

4. Eat the right foods

How about eating healthier for clear skin? It’s been proven that when you eat fruits and vegetables, you are essentially cleaning out your system and flushing it of impurities that may be causing acne. A good thing to do is get yourself a juicer and drink yourself to good health, making 100% natural juice drinks. Not only are they tasty and refreshing, but they work great for relieving you of your acne problems.

5. Get enough sleep

Insufficient sleep leads to stress build up and that leads to hormonal imbalances in your body that may also be causing acne and pimples to appear. Try to sleep at least 8 hours per day. Teenagers need 8-10 hours every night to fully recover and revive the body. It’s very important to get as much sleep as possible. Another good thing to practice is before going to bed every night, drink 16 ounces of water to rid yourself of acne-causing bacteria that’s in your body.

How You Can Have Healthy Glowing Skin in Less Than 10 Days With Natural Home Remedies For Pimples!

When it comes to spots and acne the right home remedies for pimples are actually very effective, when an outbreak attacks you. Are you fed up and down-in-the-dumps because you can’t get rid of those beastly spots that plague you?

Are you losing self-confidence and self-esteem because of them? Well, at least you are certainly not alone. Ugly acne spots are the curse of most teenagers and a good few adults, too.

You can help your skin considerably, by using some easy to find and prepare home remedies, along with following some common sense tips.

If we are going to deal with this problem, it is good to know what acne pimples are and how they develop in the first place, then we can look at three effective home remedies.

Acne vulgaris makes its presence uncomfortably known to you, by forming not only pimples, but also blackheads, superficial sebaceous cysts and if untreated, scars on the skin. They mostly break out anywhere on the face, temples, chest or back.

Some of the causes are over-consumption of sugar, fried foods and excessive starch. This gives rise to what is known as internal dampness in Chinese medicine, which eventually erupts as cysts, blackheads and pimples.

Chronic constipation can be a major contributing factor as the digestive system becomes more clogged up, causing toxins to be re-absorbed into the bloodstream.

As the skin is an alternative eliminative channel closely linked to the bowels, any constipation can give rise to the body using the skin as a secondary excretory outlet for toxins, hence the outcrop of pimples and spots appearing on it.

In addition to these, are the raging hormones of teenage years which add to the clogging of oil glands.

To make a significant difference, you really need to introduce plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. With their natural fiber, they help move food through the digestive tract more efficiently and removing waste from the bowel leaving it cleaner. Reduce chomping on junk food – sweets, cakes, chocolate and other high sugar carbohydrate foods. They clog up the system and have you noticed, you want to keep eating them?

Foods rich in zinc or taking a zinc supplement has often brought about a dramatic improvement. A good indication of being deficient in zinc, is the presence of white flecks on your finger nails. Zinc is great, but it is wise to consult either your doctor or a nutritionist for advice so you don’t overdose and deplete the copper in your body.

I have found that the topical use oatmeal on the affected skin is very effective. Make a paste from fine oatmeal and warm water and smooth this onto the skin, leaving for as long as possible. This alleviates the inflammation around the acne area and at the same time, helps the body to release its toxins throught the pores of the skin, allowing them to ‘breathe’. Daily or weekly use of oatmeal paste can bring about a very noticeable improvement. I consider this to be one of the best home remedies for pimples.

There are many simple as well as effective treatments you can use which are both safe and non-toxic, without having to resort to some of the more invasive chemical over-the-counter treatments.

Facial Rejuvenation Options Available With Medical Skin Care

May 23rd, 2008 omilana Posted in Antiaging Skincare, Skin Care, skin care treatment Comments Off

The desire to have healthier, clearer, and even more radiant skin is universal. Everyone wants to look their best and throughout time, skin challenges can develop which must be addressed for us to meet that desire. Age, weather, climate, and lifestyle can affect the way the skin appears and functions.

One option for those seeking skin health is facial rejuvenation, which involves removing skin which has been damaged in various ways, either due to age, unwanted marks, scars, and any number of other skin challenges. There are a number of reasons why facial rejuvenation is a great option for those seeking dramatic changes in the appearance of their skin. Firstly, there are a number of treatment options that are available, some more invasive than others, and some being remarkably minimally invasive with stellar results. Some can involve something as simple as creams or gels used on the face which help to fade dark spots. The skin’s outer layer, or the epidermis, may require “tune-ups” with time and this can be handled from home or with the help of a trusted and experienced dermatologist. It is important to pay attention to the body and if our skin is looking congested or tired, we may be in need of a boost.

There are also internal measures that one can take to alter the appearance of the skin, including altering lifestyle changes. This can mean minimizing alcohol intake, quitting smoking, eating more vegetables and fruits, less meat, less dairy, altering our fitness routines, and any number of other changes that can limit our intake of toxins and expand out intake of healthful foods and substances. It is important to note that how we feel and appear is in direct relation to what we ingest so it is important to treat a facial rejuvenation as an opportunity to start from within. Since our skin is the most prevalent organ of the body, and the organ which is most visible, it will rightly show signs of ill health, fatigue, and age the quickest. That is why it is important to find ways to fully and truly increase the health of our skin and its beauty by altering our lifestyle habits. This can also include how often and for what length of time we expose our skin to the elements. Monitoring our intake of sun is a great way to keep the skin balanced. Some sun is obviously good, but too much is not.

As far as seeking the help of a dermatologist, facial rejuvenation can come with the use of laser technology, intense pulsed light, dermabrasion, and other treatment options which may help the skin in the face to appear tighter and more radiant. Having said this, there are a number of options which treat the epidermis and the dermis, thus having a greater impact on the skin’s appearance and texture. When lower layers of the skin are purposefully removed either fully or partially, this results in longer healing times, while the skin heals to reveal newer skin that is blemish free. The healing process can take several days to weeks to months depending on the individual as well as the type of treatment and the expectations. It is important to discuss all forms of facial rejuvenation, external as well as internal, with a dermatologist and to have realistic expectations of the sort of changes which will result.

Use Some Men’s Skin Care To Improve Your Appearance

May 23rd, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

In a very short time you can start to improve the appearance of your skin by just following some very basic steps. And all it takes every day are a few minutes and some men’s skin care products to get an effect that will surprise you.

The main thing is that you get the best result if you do this routine on a daily basis. Your daily routine should have the following elements, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Once you start to get in to this routine every day you will see that your skin gets cleaner with every day that goes by. And if your skin is clean it will be much easier to find any other problem areas on the surface that indicates possible such things as a rash or an allergic reaction.

Take care of your body

One of the things that you can do to keep your body skin healthy is by moisturizing it after get out of the bath or shower. When you use a moisturizer it will protect your body the whole day from outside influences. Do not use a lotion because it has water added to it is nothing more then a diluted moisturizer. You can use a lotion if you need to help you with dry hands and/or elbows.

The three steps to better skin

If you want to really keep your skin clean you will need to do the cleaning steps women take to clear away any pollutions. First you will need to use a cleanser for which you can use cleansing bars, lotions or creams. Then you should use a toner to get rid of the residue that was left after the cleansing. And for the third step the moisturizer comes in to give your skin that extra nutrition it needs.

A facial massage if you want to go deeper

Once or twice a week you could give yourself a facial massage. You will need some oil to this right. Use your fingertips and by moving in a circular fashion you touch the skin but avoid getting any massage oil in your eyes. You could also do the neck area in the same session. What this accomplishes is that you get an extra deep cleaning and thus open up pores that would stay clogged if you only do the daily three steps. Don’t apply yo much pressure while you massage your face because the facial skin is very thin and therefore wrinkles and damages quickly. When you do this step the first time you will see some blemishing but don’t be alarmed because this is a normal reaction due to the fact that the once clogged pores are now released and opened.

You will probably need two or three massages before your skin starts to really be cleansed deeply and when you get passed this stage of cleansing you must make sure that you keep the daily routine of cleaning your skin by doing the mentioned three steps.

This shows that even men can have a clean an beautiful skin if they would just get used to the idea that using men’s skin care products is normal, even for them.

Skin Care Products That Help Maintain A Healthy Glow

May 5th, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

Skin is not only the largest organ of your body, but it is also one of the more important ones as well. It is your skin that protects the rest of your body and helps to eliminate toxins in your system by sweating. As important as the skin is, most people don’t do enough to help maintain the skin’s health. The skin on your face is just as important as the rest of your skin, possibly even more important as it is more sensitive and delicate. In order to maintain the health of your skin it is vital that you cleanse it every day, exfoliate once or twice a week and also give yourself a facial.

Cleansing your skin everyday with the right products will not only help your skin maintain that healthy glow, but it will also help prevent any future break-outs. Exfoliating will also help by getting rid of the old skin cells that can cause your skin to look dull. Facials may not be as important as daily cleansing or exfoliating, but they are good for your skin and will help your skin maintain a healthy look.

There are many skin care facial products that are currently available on the market that can be used for various skin types. There are some skin care facial products that will tighten your skin, remove excess oil, draw out toxins that could cause breakout, or there are some skin care facial products that simply help your skin to relax and maintain its elasticity and texture. These skin care facial products can range in price anywhere from five dollars to anything over twenty. You can also paper yourself by getting a facial at a beauty salon, however if you decided to do that you need to be prepared to pay more than twenty dollars for one session. Often times, a facial will not only be good for the skin, but it is also good for you, it allows you time to relax, to enjoy the chance to rest and to paper yourself.

Skin care facial products not only range in price, but they also range in the type of ingredients that are used. There are some skin care facial products that use chemicals and other ingredients to help with blemished skin, or acne prone skin. Other skin care facial products use organic ingredients, or other natural ingredients, such as fruit or vegetables. You can also find recipes for homemade facials in health magazines or online, which list ingredients that are easily available such as strawberries, avocados, tomatoes or peaches. However, before trying out various recipes it is always important to know what skin type you are to ensure your skin gets the right treatment.

The Spectacular Power of All Natural Skin Care

People are always looking for new beauty and skin care products but more people than ever are now looking for all natural skin care products as an alternative to chemical ones. Today, people are getting away from unhealthy chemical products and prefer to enhance their skin using all natural skin care. Made from essential oils, roots, herbs, and other natural ingredients, these are safe to use on your skin. Compared to going into a store and buying beauty products, all natural skin care is less expensive and does work well.

All natural skin care is a great way to look after your skin using natural ingredients such as roots and herbs combined with preservatives, emulsifiers and other carrier agents. These products are very popular because of their healing abilities and anti-inflammatory properties. All natural skin care ingredients proven effective as skin enhancers and used as treatments include:

• Beeswax, an all natural skin care wax found in honeybee hives, has many commercial purposes along with being used in skin care products and treatments. This has anti-microbial elements, healing properties, and is an effective moisturizing component.

• Shea butter is a natural fat, ivory colored or slightly greenish in color, extracted from the shea tree fruit by crushing the fruit and then boiling them. It is widely used as an emollient, skin softener, moisturizer, and heals skin conditions such as dermatitis and stretch marks. In hair conditioners, shea butter prevents breakage, revitalizes hair, and maintains or adds moisture to brittle, dry hair. Pure shea butter is one of the safest skin care products.

Some all natural skin care cures for acne include using coconut juice mixed with alfalfa or lettuce as a skin exfoliate, which helps remove the dead skin cells and regenerate new ones. Use a cotton ball to apply the mixture and rinse this off with cool water in approximately ten minutes. Fenugreek leaves are another popular natural acne remedy used to prevent breakouts. Crush the leaves into a paste and then apply directly to the affected skin overnight. In the morning, use warm water to rinse off the fenugreek, followed by rinsing with cool water. Honey has many healing and antiseptic properties. A mask made of honey applied a couple times weekly will remove the surface bacteria, which is often responsible for acne. White vinegar also works well as an all natural skin care acne cure. Use it full strength or dilute with a little water, apply with a cotton ball, and rinse after approximately six to ten minutes using cold water.

Natural Skin Care Recipes

May 4th, 2008 omilana Posted in Antiaging Lotion, Antiaging Skincare, Skin Care, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

There are a huge number of natural skin care recipes that are easy to make from the ingredients that you typically will already have in your pantry or fridge at home. Some of these natural skin care recipes are very similar to the commercial preparations that sell for high prices in your local department store or through your cosmetic retailer. In addition the natural skin care recipes allow you to make the masks, scrubs and lotions fresh and only as needed, ensuring they are the most effective treatments for your skin.

It is important to carefully read the natural skin care recipes that you find to determine what type of skin they are most effective for. Typically if the recipe includes any type of soothing ingredient such as oatmeal, aloe or olive oil are more typically for sensitive or dry skin. Recipes that include fruits such as strawberries, bananas, vinegar or lemon are more astringent type treatments that are more effective for those individuals with oily skin or acne problems. Combination type skin may need different types of treatment, or stay with the gentle and soothing recipes to avoid over drying the skin.

As with any type of skin treatment it is important to use the natural skin care recipes correctly and to avoid overusing the products. It is also important to keep in mind that natural does not mean that you cannot have a reaction to using the skin care product, so always immediately discontinue use if you find the skin condition becomes more problematic or the skin becomes dry, flaky or itchy.

For sensitive skin an excellent and easy to make exfoliant and scrub includes the following natural skin care recipe. Simply add ½ a cup of cornmeal, uncooked, 2-3 teaspoons of baking soda, ¼ of a cup of whole milk, 1 tablespoon of olive oil and three to six drops of tea tree oil. Mix together until well blended and smooth, add to the face and gently massage into the skin for one minute. Rinse using warm water and follow up with cold water to close the pores. This mixture can be used two to three times a week to keep skin looking smooth and healthy.

A simple oil absorbing facial mask can be made using either mashed avocado or mango mixed with enough oatmeal to make a thick paste. It will be slightly lumpy. Simply apply this to the face and allow to sit for five minutes. Follow with a good rinse with warm water to clear the skin. For very oily skin mashed strawberries can also be added to the fruit mixture.

Are Shea Butter Skin Care Acne Treatments Really Effective?

May 4th, 2008 omilana Posted in Skin Care, acne treatment, skin acne, skin care product, skin care treatment Comments Off

There are a few acne products that claim that shea butter is one of the ingredients that they use to effectively help eliminate acne. What exactly is shea butter, and what does it do for a person’s skin? Do shea butter skin care acne products really work to remove acne?

Shea butter is actually a substance that is derived from a nut that comes from the Savannah Region of Africa, and it is said to be a substance that can be used in many different ways. There have been claims that shea butter is good for the treatment of many different skin ailments like psoriasis, eczema and acne, and this has led to the production of many shea butter skin care acne products.

The question you might be asking about these shea butter skin care acne products may be whether or not these products with shea butter in them are good for acne prone skin, considering the fact that the term “butter” itself connotes an oily or greasy substance. Since acne is usually the result of excess oil and the presence of dirt and bacteria on a person’s skin, the question about the effectiveness of shea butter skin care acne products is truly legitimate.

How shea butter is used as an ingredient in shea butter skin care acne products can be ascertained with a little scrutiny of the effects that this substance has on a person’s skin. Shea butter is known to help treat scars and burns, and it is also known to help prevent skin rashes. This may be the reason why shea butter is considered an ideal substance for use in acne treatment programs despite the rather ‘greasy’ name it has. This substance which is included in a lot of beauty products aimed at not only treating acne, but other skin and scalp problems like blemishes, dandruff, dry skin and rashes, is widely used due to the versatile way it can be applied for many different purposes.

The shea butter skin care acne products that you can purchase for yourself and use for your acne problems include soaps, ointments, creams and oils. Since oil is not advisable for those who are suffering from acne, you may need to ask your dermatologist about this before you use oils or creams made with shea butter. While shea butter skin care acne products may claim that the substance itself is beneficial to people with acne, the form it comes in may not be. You might find yourself having more skin problems that need more solutions if you experiment with a shea butter skin care acne product that your doctor does not know about or does not recommend.
