How My Wife Slows Down The Aging Process! And The Facial Excercises
Vanity plays a large part in the use of popular anti-aging skin care products and treatments; it is not unreasonable to want to continue looking youthful for as long as possible when you consider how much longer most of us are living!
This is achieved in beauty products by promoting the growth of connective tissue using the protein collagen which is the most abundant in the skin of all animals; with around a quarter of our skin protein being collagen, the importance of this substance has not gone unnoticed.
This category of skin products is in fact related to another group of everyday products that help reduce the signs of aging; this group is called antioxidants and apart from their cell repairing ability, they may be able to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease.
Although the benefits of vitamin C (an anti-oxidant) are well documented, it is still debated as to what our daily amount should be. Vitamin C formulated skin care treatments suffer with a particular problem of oxidizing on contact with the air which causes a problem for users and manufacturers.
Manufacturers are trying alternative skin care treatments to vitamin C that do not have this oxidization problem or cost as much to produce. Although these products are good, they cannot actually compare with vitamin C but fortunately vitamin E and alpha-lipoic acid are also anti-oxidants so can be used to gain the same effect.
Vitamin E is found in the blood and is an antioxidant that is also used to increase the body’s defenses against other health problems; it has many functions including inhibiting the formation of cancer cells. Another of these is lipoic acid which is found in every cell of our body to help generate energy for us to live; it is also known to combat the signs of aging very effectively by repairing skin damage caused by the aging process.
The use of plants has not been overlooked either with many types able to provide essences called phytochemicals which have proved successful in anti-ageing skin care products. Like lipoic acid, phytochemicals help reduce the occurrence of cancers; examples of these are:
*Prostate Cancer
*Cancer that attacks the Breast
*Cancer that attacks the Colon
These types of cancer are also becoming some of the most prevalent worldwide.
It has also been discovered that there are anti-aging benefits to vitamins B5, B6 and B12. This just goes to highlight just how complex and far reaching the whole field of anti-ageing skin care products is and why so much more research is required. A great deal about the aging process has already been learned and the products available today are already far more advanced than ten years ago; with the number of genetic discoveries made in recent years, it is only a matter of time before conquering the effects of age is commonplace.
In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable anti-ageing skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use. Scientific research into anti-aging products is still in the early stages but they should never be relied upon; we must not forget however, that there are many more natural methods we can all use to reduce the signs of aging on a regular basis.
You know all these things but how many do you practice? Regular exercise, restful sleep, drinking plenty of water, eating a healthy diet and keeping your stress levels low are all necessary.
